A leading provider of specialist services to developers, construction companies and individual clients, this M&E Contractor operate in a range of sectors throughout the UK and Western Europe.
They are centrally based in the UK and have developed through investment in people and technology to become a major supplier of building engineering services to an increasing portfolio of clients. They have considerable experience in design, installation, commissioning and upgrading of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting and fire protection, as well as specific engineering solutions which are tailored to the needs of individual contracts.
Their major projects have ranged from state of the art football stadia, to large-scale food production units and data centres for worldwide companies. They have a team of more than 200 staff and sub-contractors which has helped them become a key player in an industry that is becoming more and more technologically advanced.
A Mechanical CAD Operator is required to join the design team of this building services contractor based in Nottingham.
Working for the design team within the Major Projects division, the Mechanical CAD Operator will be responsible for inputting design plans from both consultants and Design Engineers.
Whilst the role is mechanically focused, they will also be required to have an input on electrical drawings and coordinate both activities into one drawing. This will help in notifying of clashes between both mechanical and electrical design ideas. The mechanical focus will be on heating, ventilation and air-conditioning and whilst this is their main role, they must also consider electrical disciplines such as the lighting, security, fire alarm and power infrastructure.
The type of projects that are likely to be worked upon are healthcare LIFT projects, stadia, commercial and retail projects, in and around the Nottingham area. The role is office based and responsible to the CAD Manager.
